I couldn't resist picking up this set, because I love cats anyway and it promised to be such a cute idea. This deck-and-book set is definitely a gift tarot or collectible rather than a real deck for reading; however, I was pleasantly surprised to find that for the most part, the symbolism behind the meanings of each card is actually intact. Anyone who is knowledgeable about the tarot will recognize the cards for what they are.
The cards themselves are larger than standard, and only the Major Arcana cards are present. They are almost what I call "coffee-table" sized, this is a deck you would leave out for people to look at. The little hardbound book that comes with the set is printed on the kind of glossy paper that gift books are often made with, and the slipcase for the set is even very attractively done.
I had a really hard time deciding which cards to show here, so I put all of my favorites up. I highly recommend this set for anyone who is a collector of novelty tarot sets, or for the cats collectible fan. It makes a marvelous gift. And it puts a bit of whimsy into the meaning of the tarot.
It should be noted that this deck has gone out-of-print, so if you like what you see here, and you have an opportunity to pick one up somewhere, you should certainly get it right away. Once they are gone, they are gone for good.
