Not to be confused with the Transformational Tarot by Arnell Ando, this deck comprises watercolor images of mostly traditional images, with an expanded deck of 100 cards. The system here is based upon numerology and each card has at the top its numerological equivalent, which makes for some interesting analogies. There is a book in the set which explains the numerology concept for this deck in wonderful detail, and there is a full-color chart as well which shows the numerological relationships between the cards.
The additional cards come in the form of four extra court cards in each suit, and six new Major Arcana cards. The suits themselves are the traditional Swords, Wands, Cups and Pentacles, but now in addition to the Page, Knight, Queen and King, there is a Teacher-Student, Reformer, Oracle and Sage. I'm not real sure they add a whole lot to the deck except I think they make the numbers work better for the numerology concept.
The additional Major Arcana are The Master, Galactic Force, The Androgyne, Mystical Life, Transcendant Mind and Universalized Will. These appear to be additional archetypes or concept cards which play along the Major Arcana style. Again, the numerology comes into play as well. You can see some of the new additions here.
The deck itself is a little wider than standard and comes printed on heavy glossy card stock, which makes shuffling near to impossible as the cards constantly stick together. I am afraid that the weight of the stock would make any accidental creases or bends permanent.
The imagery is familiar and I believe this deck would work nicely for anyone who liked the Rider-Waite and just wanted something with more to offer. The numerology concept actually does work in relation to this deck, everything in the cards is consistent with this theory and makes it fluid in this respect. This set is published independently by Foolscap Press.
