There are several options available in today's market if you are interested in using computer software for reading tarot cards. There are quite a few reasons why this software can come in handy; not all of them are for doing readings. Most tarot software packages have an option for laying cards out specifically instead of shuffling; this would allow you to be able to reproduce a layout done by hand, and print it out so that your client could have a copy of their reading.
There are also cd-rom software packages available for nontarot divination oracles; these can include astrology, i ching, and alchemy. I am sure there are other kinds available (is there a rune cd-rom somewhere?) and as I come across them I will add their reviews here.
The bottom line is this: Many people just like to "play" with readings on their computer, and these software packages allow one to do just that. Need a quick reading before you go to work? You can have the computer deal one out and print it up for you to take to work, and you can be in the shower while it does this. Modern-day convenience married to divination? You betcha!
