New Palladini Tarot
 by David Palladini

I liked the artwork on Palladini's Aquarian Tarot, and this deck is not surprisingly just as attractive to look at.  I was unaware that the Aquarian deck is 26 years old, but the new deck appears to be the artist's way of demonstrating how much more he knows about tarot now and how much better of an artist he is now.

The colors in the deck are much more vibrant than in the Aquarian deck, and instead of being just Old English-style figures, the people in the deck come from a more diverse world background.  However, it is virtually impossible not to compare it to the Aquarian Deck.  I was tempted to scan the same three cards from this deck so as to compare with the other.  I decided to be nice.

The suits are the traditional Swords, Rods, Cups and Pentacles.  There are no real surprises in these cards.  The deck shuffles almost as stiffly as the Aquarian deck did.  The cards seem to be a standard size.  This is a pleasant deck to look at, and using it shouldn't be too difficult.  I didn't think it was much more intuitive than Palladini's first deck though.
