Native American
by Magda Weck Gonzalez and J. A. Gonzalez

This tarot deck was another one of those "gotta have it" decks that I first saw in a catalog, and later in a local new age shop.  I didn't think I was inclined to be interested in Native American teachings until I bought this deck.  It definitely makes you think about more than just tarot.

I'm not sure I would use this deck to do readings for clients, however, I have found it to be incomparable for personal readings.  Proven to be highly accurate for the reader who is able to set aside his desires and look the truth in the eye.

Traditional suits are moved aside in favor of new suits which are in character for the Native American style and symbology used.  Suits are Blades, Pipes, Vessels and Shields.

The artwork is not bad, there is a certain style to it and within the context of that style it is quite good.  However, it has such strong native flavor that I fear it will not appeal to those who have no interest in Native American art and craft.
I do, however, like it very much.
