This delightful, fairly new oracle system comprises 64 cards which are meant to be used for inspiration and guidance. My first impression upon looking at these cards was, "They remind me of the Inner Child Cards." There is a sense of childlike joy and wonder which is evoked by the simple but colorful artwork in these cards.
On a soft blue background, the image rather jumps out at you. Borders of ribbons and shamrocks frame the image area of the cards. Since this is not a tarot deck, there are no Major or Minor Arcana, no suits, no courts. It comes in a deck-and-book set only, and the book in the set is fairly substantial.
The cards are numbered with Arabic numerals in consecutive order from 1 to 64. None of the titles bear any real resemblance to tarot titles, but represent different aspects of fairy/inner child personality which need to be emphasized in order to bring about the changes one is seeking. The book proves to be the most helpful here since the illustrations are sweet and light but not tremendously intuitive, in my opinion.
The book features several spreads which are either modifications on common layouts, or new altogether. There are meditations on each card in the deck, and a poem accompanies each meditation. There is a very interesting section on the "Irish I Ching" and I can see the correlation here, since the deck has 64 cards and there are 64 hexagrams in the I Ching.
The cards themselves are about standard sized and shuffle and handle well. The edges are buffed to a polished smoothness. They are coated with a matte finish coating which reduces glare and makes them less likely to stick together.
This is a very nice, though simple, system of inspiration and guidance. It's not really meant for divination except in the sense of discovering what aspects of your personal joy need to be brought out in any given situation. It's very cute and somewhat bland, but it will make a nice beginner set and it is good for collectors as well.
