Gypsy Witch
Fortunetelling Playing Cards

This deck of 52 cards, styled after a bridge deck with some prediction symbols added in for good measure, is one of the oldest decks US Games has available, by that I mean it is one of their longest-available offerings.  It is very popular, in fact there are a lot of people in the world who fear tarot cards as being things of the devil but they seem to have no fear of using these cards to predict future events.

The deck is geared very much towards predicting events and actions, rather than being an in-depth look at personality traits and psychological factors, which is one of the things which differentiates the use of tarot cards from reading with traditional playing cards.  Many people I have known who read with bridge decks could get startling accuracy in predicting events, and I am told this is the same with the Gypsy Witch Fortunetelling deck.

The card numbers and suits correlate exactly to that of a traditional bridge deck.  The cards are sized comparatively and handle about the same as a bridge deck, which means they fit in the palm of your hand.  In addition to the traditional numbers and suits (Hearts, Spades, Clubs, Diamonds) there are small printed interpretations available on each card, as well as a pictograph showing the symbol which is at the heart of the matter.

The Gypsy Witch Fortunetelling Playing Cards are widely available and are inexpensive.  The box is unpretentious and for those who prefer a more action-oriented divination, this may well be the best choice.  Also excellent as a learning tool, since I believe once you learn to use this deck you could divine with any bridge deck.
