The booklet for this deck, as well as the full book, was written by Stuart R. Kaplan, who is a noted expert in the field of tarot.  However, here in this book he has attempted to explain witchcraft as well, presumably so the user of the deck can better understand witches.

It is important to note that the concept of witchcraft as defined by Mr. Kaplan is in no way representative of true witchcraft.  What he describes is nothing short of hollywood fiction.

I would like to believe that perhaps Mr. Kaplan has invented a fictional variety of witchcraft which the reader is supposed to believe is what the heroine of the
movie, "Live and Let Die," for which movie this deck was created, practices.
Aside from being well acquainted with many witches personally, I am one myself, and can honestly attest that nothing he describes exists in any reality save that which may be in his head.
