As opposed to the current trend of angel-obsession that I am, even I have to admit that this is a lovely deck-and-book set. The artwork on the cards is all reproductions of paintings of angels by some of the great masters of the art world. Van Gogh, Moreau, Rembrandt, Blake, Raphael, Delacroix, and Da Vinci are among those whose works grace this collection of cards meant for personal guidance.
The box is a rigid type similar to cigar-boxes, which shows how much care was given to the construction of the set. The book is printed on high-quality glossy stock and very nicely bound, and the cards themselves are rendered in a heavy card stock with a satiny finish that makes them really nice to touch and handle. They are very stiff so they do not shuffle well. However, shuffling isn't something you would do with this deck anyway.
The book details several different types of "layouts" which are used to gain the angels' guidance and audience depending on the environment you are trying to create. In other words, you decide what you are hoping to accomplish (more love in your life, job satisfaction, personal growth) and then determine a spread system which accomodates that. The angels themselves are broken down into different categories depending on the kind of heavenly work they do.
There are detailed explanations of each angel's mission and with each angel there is a passage from the bible to illustrate the meaning of their work, as well as an assignment of a musical piece or two to meditate with when trying to work with that particular angel's energy. Altogether there are 44 cards/angels with which to work in this deck.
I recommend this deck for anyone who wishes to gain inspiration and insight into bettering their selves and their lives with the help of angelic energies. So far out of all the angels oracles I have seen, this one is the nicest. Amazon does not list this deck and book set as being available, so contact Wicce for buying information.
