The Fool

So, our token Pagan, if you will, is moving through a dark,
starlit night sky, with her cat moseying along beside her.  She has
that feeling of being in the dark.

Anna, you asked: "Is she blindly walking?...sleep walking?...or
moving forward on her celestial/spritual path with the trust and
naivety of young folk everywhere..that all will work out as it
should.."

The answer is Yes, yes, and yes!  The Fool traditionally encompasses
all of these within its nuances.  Which do you resonate with at the
time you draw the card?  It will differ each time, according to
where you are on your path, where you are in your reading, and where
you are in your growth pattern in life.

With the trust of a child, she must venture forth into her
universe.  But it is not the naivete of youth, rather the innocence
of the truly opened and enlightened mind, which must inevitably win
the day.

Maybe she is astral traveling.  Dreaming.  Moving through sacred
space towards a magickal goal.  All of the above!

Does anyone remember the X-Files episodes where Mulder was caught in
the boxcar in the desert which was filled with the aliens and then
he almost died and he was shown in a Native American healing ritual
where he was lying on his bower and there was nothing but his body
and the starry night sky and all the people who had been in his life
but had passed on came to him in his half-dead-half-alive state and
talked to him and convinced him to go back to his life?  That is
part of the atmosphere I am trying to convey.

It is a sacred place, out of time, out of body, but yet a part of
every one of us, where we can go to get our answers, but we must be
ready to accept whatever we get, in whatever form.....
